Mood: Good
Music: Granado Espada - Espada Nigero
Random Note: I'm eating too much.
Phew! The week's been really rushed!~ Since the day 2009 arrived on the english calander, I've not been able to have one day of peace mentally. Work had been really taxing, and school planning is both exciting and time consuming. The last 2 weeks of my life @ home, I just want to spend the best of it with my family and friends.
Strange things have been happening in my sleep! I keep getting nightmares, including those about not being prepared enough for my overseas trip (I dreamt of an evil clown too). Perhaps I'm getting too much done with such little time...dang my bad habit of doing things so last minute!
That is why I am going to make good use of the time next week to pack up my luggage! Looking at that huge bag makes me go "omg."~
I've been wanting to sit down and compile my thoughts. It's sad that I still dun possess enough discpline in doing these things (somehow, a game of warcraft kinda feels more appropriate over typing XD).
Life is full of ups and downs. Looking back at what I've experienced on sunny home island for the past 22.5 years, emotions are mixed.
Goving overseas to pursue my carreer had always been something that I've dreamed of but never really expected to happen. As far as my memory serves me, I've always wanted to go see the world outside. Now that the option have surfaced for me, I just keep worrying so very hard on how to make this the perfect experience.
A side of me knows that not everyone gets opportunities, and that's probably why I can't set my mind to be at peace yet. Guess I'll get settled in soon, since the board is already set to go.
I've always relied a lot on my family and friends for support. Perhaps most people see me as someone who is very independent and reliable, but if you've hanged around long enough...I guess Jon is pretty much just a human. I mean, come on - I'm not handsome, not rich, not talanted, which kinda equates to not being so attractive / popular in most cases.
My Family had been able to give me the necessary lessons in life: learning to be strong and independent. I am proud to say I cook, wash, organise and do all those very "aunty" things...yea you heard me! XD My mum, my sister and my bro each had taught me how to handle situations, and I am more than just glad to forever be bound to them by relation.
My family also consists of my cousins, which I am eternally grateful for the great times we've conjured over the years! Kt, Jx and Zr...are probably going to be the 3 people I'll miss most during this trip away. They are the people who've been with me through all good and bad, and it really pains me to think of how much I won't be seeing them (we always meet up so regularly that it's become a habit to just organise impromptu stayovers). I will definitely think a lot about em...
Not to be forgotten would be my aunts, who've been there to make life better and more importantly, given me the opportunity to pursure my tertiary education abroad. Always there to lend me a helping hand, teach me new stuff, or even just to share cooking tips and a good meal with me...I'll miss them much too. They are the people whom had inculcated the idea of "one big family" in me, always reminding me that hey, there really is no place like home... =)
(...Where I can be as absurd and ridiculous as I want to be and nobody cares XD)
Having said all that, I guess there's only more room now for me to fight for what really matters to me in life! =) It does console me to know that everyone is giving me the support I need, and having the faith that I'll be able to make it...sometimes I dun really know what I've done to derserve such good from anyone, and that itself will serve as a force of moltivation to keep me moving forward and strive for excellence.
I'll love to type more, but now it's time to clean up my house for 2009's Chinese New Year Woohoo! Lot's of FOOD in the house! Gonna munch on them till they're all gone! Hehe!

First Times.
Mood: Pensive
Music: Hannah Montana - If We Were A Movie
Random Note: My MP3 player is dying T.T
Everybody probably remembers many of their first times in their lives, some of them more memoriable ones being:
- First loves (oh my, the WILD puppies)
- First kisses
- First hanky panky moments (wat?)
- First private moments~ (and I dun want to go about elaborating that!)
Well, it's good to know that I'm still young enough to find "first times". Today, I made a sucessful "deal" in getting the phone exchanged for my bud!
On normal occasions, people tend to find me the quarrelsome one who'll always be able to argue with the service person for a better deal. You see, the fact is I usually argue because I have a well-thought out idea of why "this is sensible, logical and I want it my way". I do not (usually) try to rip a person off just because it would benefit me.
It was definitely my first time having to go into a place to get something fixed even though I couldn't think of a "sensible, logical" idea XD I must say, it was really a first time for me to remember. I was never so nervous in getting the services I want from a store before.
You see, logically the iPhone's warrenty does not cover cosmatic defects. Further more, no coverage will warren personal accidents.
Okay, so technically I had to lie my way through the entire 2 sessions of getting the job done. I feel terrible about it! Honestly I do (never. never ever done it till this very day)...
And I guess it felt like right thing to do if we were gonna leave the country on a peaceful note (trust me, you do not want a X with a sad face + the thought of "because you asked 'wat time is it'").
So having balance up my guilt + having a happy buddy = Okay me. Still...there are many many many lingering thoughts in my head. Am kinda too tired to compile them now.
Left the phone at X's place and headed home for some rest. I must say, I am impressed with Apple's customer service. It is really quite efficient, and the staff are friendly (though you might have trouble understanding their accent as they seem to be from different nations. I spoke to a philipino and australian I think).
Please do not confuse Apple's services with what's offered at Singtel. I emphasize on that matter please! XD
Nonetheless, I owe the 2 staff a letter of recommendation (with special compliments to the guy since he was the one whom initiated the exchange on the spot). Will have to get that done soon! =)
Time to hit the sack, good nite!

"What Time Is It?"
Mood: In Shock.
Music: Hannah Montana - Nobody's Perfect
Random Note: I love mini mandarin oranges!
Today, the most shocking event (yet) of 2009 just happened to me and bud.
X met I for dinner at holland and it was cool. I guess was just feeling bored, so I wanted to meet for a meal and do some chat.
So after the meal of laksa, we were walking out from holland...then I asked "What time is it?"
Did i mention that X got a BRAND new iPhone? XD Guess many of you will be seeing him use that soon! He keeps on emphasizing that he's lost his "Apple Virginity" since the iPhone is his first Apple product.
I'm proud to say, I'm still free of all of Job's products. Won't say no to them, but haven't found the urge to get any of them =)
So, X took out his iPhone to look at the time and it slipped out of his hands onto the gravel pavement.
We both stood there with a WTF look and letted out some strange sort of a scream + cry noise. It was really...say, heart-stopping when the phone flew out of his hands.
Staring at the phone, we were so shocked. It was a genuine ZOMGWTFBBQ + T.T situation. I mean seriously, "how can this happen!!!"
The corners of the phone were visibly scratched. Though everything else seemed 'normal', I was pretty sure we both didn't feel anything near that!
I guess I felt partly responsible for asking about the time...so here I am now, with a scratched iPhone in my room with me.
I'll attempt to make a switch for him tomorrow.
Ah Jon
P.S. Oh if it makes the news anymore tragic than it already is, X only got his phone yesterday =(

Founder's Day! Founder's Say!
Mood: Bleh!
Music: Hannah Montana - Rock Star
Random Note: I Love Hannah Montana The Series!
Welcome Aboard!
This is the beginning of a new chapter of uncle Jon's life! It was sad to dump my previous site (espcially when I liked the title and blog address so much!), but I'm sure a fresh start would be definitely awesome!
(By the way I love the new address! It's funny reading it in english and mandarin yo!)
If you managed to get yourself a glance at this fantastically plain blog within 7 days from this post, you are defintely a priviledged member! XD
I'll get myself some discipline to do update as often as I can afford to! Will need some consultation from some of you out there to get this thing done up pretteh! =D
Summary for the day:
The day was TERRIBLE! I'll cut the story real short: My work @ office today was a terrible drag, then my phone died on me, after that the service centre wouldn't repair my phone without my warrenty card, and when I wanted to board the bus farecard had no value left (and of ALL THE DAYS, i had not a single dime with me!!!)
Glad that's all over!
Now that I've reserved such an awesome place for myself on cyber-space, it's time to grab some quality rest at lala-land!
Good nite Bloggy! (as well as anyone whom had the patience to complete the short post!)
